1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your phone or computer when you visit avatarhospital.com, the website of Avatar Hospital, Nidhi Chowk, Bhavara, Madhubani, Bihar. They help the site remember your language, keep secure areas working and understand — in aggregate — which hospital pages visitors find useful. Cookies never give us your name, phone number or email unless you type it into a form (handled under our Privacy Policy).

3. Why we use them (hospital purpose only)
- Necessary: secure login sessions and form security — the site cannot work safely without these.
- Functional: remembering English/Hindi language so Madhubani patients don't reselect on every visit.
- Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics (measurement ID G-V8YDZ9LHZZ) counts page visits in aggregate to improve OPD, doctor and emergency pages. GA4 does not store your full IP address, and we never combine analytics with your appointment name/phone. Google may process this analytics data on servers outside India under Google's terms — see section 4 for opt-out.
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell cookie data — consistent with our promise in the Privacy Policy that your personal data is used only for hospital care.
4. How to control cookies
- Browser settings: block or delete cookies in Chrome → Settings → Privacy → Cookies; equivalent controls exist in Firefox, Safari and Edge. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may log you out of secure areas.
- Google Analytics opt-out: install Google's analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop GA measurement on this and other sites; our analytics is configured for aggregate reporting only.
- Language cookie: delete the NEXT_LOCALE cookie to reset to the default language — no personal data is lost.
- Consent basis (India): strictly-necessary cookies run on legitimate hospital use; language and analytics cookies run on your consent under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — clearing them withdraws that consent with no loss of emergency access.
